Carlos Hurtado L. is part of the Modyo Development Team. He has a PH.D in Computer Science from the Unviersity of Toronto, and a Masters Degree in Engineering and Computer Science from the University of Chile. He is an international expert in data mining having published and lectured worldwide on the subject. He teaches and lectures in the fields of data mining, the semantic web and artificial intelligence. He is associated with the Center for Web Research where he collaborates on several projects. In 2005 he was a winner for the “Best Research Paper” from the European Conference of Semantic Web. He is also Co-director for an international joint project dealing with Flexible Querying of Networked-Structured Data funded by a grant given by the Royal Society (United Kingdom’s National Science Academy).
